This scoping review systematically maps the emerging interdisciplinary literature at the nexus of computer science and peace and conflict studies, with a specific focus on South Sudan. It examines how computational methods—including machine learning, natural language processing, social network analysis, and geospatial modelling—are being deployed to analyse conflict dynamics, monitor peace agreements, and inform peacebuilding interventions. The review identifies key methodological trends, data sources, and thematic applications, while critically assessing gaps in the literature concerning ethical considerations, local data integration, and the translation of technical insights into actionable policy. The findings aim to consolidate knowledge and chart a future research agenda for computationally-enhanced conflict studies in fragile states.
