In the E=mc Thought Principle, lnI has been defined as the depth of meaningcompression. This paper examines that definition from within. By tracing what is lost ascompression deepens, we show that the growth of lnI is not merely a condition forgenerating E, but is itself a mechanism for producing uncontrollable internal fluctuation. We further classify the origins of Δ into external and internal, and clarify the temporalasymmetry between lnI and ρᵢ. The paper arrives at the following proposition:understanding is an operation that simultaneously produces both controllability anduncontrollability. Compression is not only a condition for understanding, but a generatorof irreducible internal instability. This paper itself enacts the very mechanism itdescribes. In the course of this argument, the paper encounters a self-referential loop itcannot resolve. That disclosure is itself the paper’s internal Δ, and the point ofconnection to the next work.
