Abstract This study investigates the relationship between architectural geometry and structural performance in Sinan Dome Systems using a dome-curvature–based framework. Finite-element stress analyses were conducted on 25 parametric dome-system variants generated by varying dome curvature by ± 20% across five centrally domed mosques. Structural performance was quantified using the Structural Performance Value (sPV). Correlation and Lasso regression analyses were then used to relate sPV to the geometric and configuration descriptors—Radius of the Central Dome, Height of the Central Dome, Curvature Radius of the Central Dome, Surface Area of the Central Dome, and Number of Half Domes. The results indicate positive associations between sPV and the scale-related descriptors, whereas Number of Half Domes shows a negative association with sPV. Among the correlated descriptors, Surface Area of the Central Dome provides the strongest explanatory signal for sPV in the examined dataset.
