Network configuration in multivendor environments remains challenging due to semantic inconsistencies and the lack of verifiable intent-to-CLI translation. Existing LLM-based approaches treat generation as a black box, lacking validation, observability, and reproducibility. We present dsm2cli , a modular and verifiable pipeline that separates translation and semantic verification, producing traceable artifacts and telemetry under a unified contract. Across six multivendor scenarios, four pipeline configurations, and 72 executions, results show that dsm2cli enables controlled comparison, exposes hidden semantic failures, and reveals trade-offs between robustness, cost, and latency.
