AbstractThis study tries to pinpoint the elements that affect students’ perceptions of professor trustworthiness in the Indian educational system. The credibility of the faculty members greatly influences students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. Understanding the factors that affect an instructor’s credibility and how they affect students’ opinions is the main goal of the research. For the study, samples from 200 students were gathered. To acquire thorough data, the study uses a mixed-methods strategy that combines quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The interviews offered deeper insights into students’ attitudes and experiences, while the surveys used measures to gauge different aspects of professor trustworthiness. Thematic analysis and statistical methods were used to analyze the data. The study’s findings highlighted several important elements: expertise and academic preparation, effective communication and teaching techniques, responsiveness to student needs, approachability, fairness in evaluations, and overall classroom environment. The study highlights the significance of these factors in fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing student engagement.
