Abstract Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is advocated as an effectual surgical treatment for the management of end-stage osteoarthritis of the knee. Robot-assisted TKA precisely manages the resection of bone and effectively positions the components without removing the existing hardware. This paper reports two cases diagnosed with posttraumatic arthritis knee with metal work in situ . Patients were subjected to the Robot-assisted TKA that resulted in an excellent functional improvement. High-speed burr metal cutting tools were used to remove the distal part of plates that came in the path of implantation of the femoral component.
