Abstract : Pollution—comprising air, water, and soil contamination—is one of the most serious threats to global public health. This paper explores the causes, pathways, physiological effects, and socioeconomic impacts of environmental pollution on human health. Using current scientific understanding, this research synthesizes evidence on acute and chronic diseases, vulnerable populations, and environmental justice challenges. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and strategies for prevention and mitigation at individual, community, and governmental levels.
