Reliable evaluation of liquefaction potential is crucial for seismic hazard assessment and resilient geotechnical design. This study introduces the TS-LIQ/CPTU/18 database, which compiles piezocone penetration test (CPTU) data from 18 sites impacted by the 1976 Tangshan earthquake ( M w 7.8) in northern China. The database comprises 18 CPTU case histories spanning both liquefied and non-liquefied outcomes and provides depth-wise CPTU measurements, including cone tip resistance ( q c ), sleeve friction ( f s ), pore pressure ( u 2 ), and essential metadata such as groundwater level, peak ground acceleration, and critical layer depth. Uncertainty analyses were conducted for key parameters following international frameworks, providing mean and standard deviation values within critical layers. The database encompasses rare high-cyclic stress ratio cases not well represented in existing global databases, offering a valuable foundation for refining empirical and probabilistic liquefaction triggering models and supporting more reliable earthquake hazard evaluation and geotechnical engineering applications.
