Fire presents a process of uncontrolled burning and can highly endanger human lives and material properties. Because of that, fire protection must be precise and universal. However, it is not the case in real. There are many different standards related to fire protection with similar, but very often with different rules in fire protection related to the same case. So, what to do in such case, when you have different results and solutions for the same case or problem?? One of the very good ways is to simulate potential problem and apply all standards and compare. This paper was written to present the fire spreading in the object with the roof in the form of hemisphere and arrangement of smoke detectors related to German standard VDE 0833-2, simulated in FDS.
