Key Points

  • The aim is to assess the impact of multiple sclerosis on the outcomes of sacral neuromodulation procedures.
  • Comparison of outcomes between MS patients and those without neurologic conditions.
  • Evaluation of revision and removal rates post-sacral neuromodulation.
  • Assessment of complication rates related to the procedure.
  • No significant difference in revision or removal rates between MS patients and others.
  • Complication rates for MS patients are similarly low to those without neurologic conditions.

Abstract

Our results suggest that a diagnosis of MS does not appear to impact SNM associated revision/removal rates and is associated with similarly low rates of complications compared to patients without any neurologic condition.
