Abstract

Public transport is a part of our daily life. It helps a lot of people travel without spending much money. Bus services, like the ones run by MSRTC have some problems. For example you never know when the bus is going to arrive. Sometimes the bus is late without warning. The route of the bus can also change suddenly. To make things worse passengers do not get real-time updates. All these issues mean that people have to wait for a time. They get confused. They start to trust the bus service less. Public transport, like MSRTC bus services should be reliable. Then we can see where the bus is on our phones. This help to know people when the bus will reach their stop .These tools make the system work well and can handle a lot of people using it at the same time. This paper looks at kinds of bus tracking systems and smart transport solutions. The paper compares these methods to see which ones are the most accurate cost the least can be used by a lot of people make users happy and give real-time information. The paper also talks about some issues with bus tracking systems, such as when the GPS signal is weak when the system needs the internet to work when there are delays, in getting the data and when the system needs to be maintained, like bus tracking systems and smart transport solutions. Lastly it shows what the future needs are like making tracking systems that're reliable do not cost a lot of money and are easy for people to use, which is good for big transport networks, like MSRTC
