Abstract

Aerial Robots TreeSpider is a tethered aerial robot designed for efficient exploration within forest canopies. Shown perched on a branch, the system combines perching arms, anchoring, and a decoupled tether ring to enable stable, energy-efficient sensing and manipulation. This approach supports repeated physical interactions and prolonged, multi-tree environmental monitoring in dense foliage.
