Abstract

Work-life balance has become a critical concern for women employed in the banking sector, where high-pressure roles often clash with personal responsibilities. This study explores the current state of work-life balance among women employees in the banking industry and investigates the unique challenges faced by women across various roles and levels within these organizations. Using a multidimensional approach, the research examines the interplay of organizational demands, societal expectations, and individual aspirations. Data from 211 women employees in Coimbatore city, collected through structured questionnaires provides insights into the factors influencing work-life balance. The findings highlight significant disparities based on job roles, hierarchical levels, and personal circumstances, revealing the unique struggles faced by women in managerial and customer-facing positions. The study underscores the need for flexible policies, supportive workplace environments, and inclusive leadership to address these challenges effectively. Actionable recommendations include introducing customized work-life balance initiatives, mentoring programs, and robust support systems to enhance employee well-being and satisfaction. This research highlights the importance of fostering a balanced work-life ecosystem to ensure employee productivity and organizational success
