Current oncology is dominantly focused on biochemical and genetic reductionism, interpreting cancer as an accumulation of DNA mutations. This paper presents an alternative model that views the oncogenic process as a physical bifurcation. According to the laws of non-linear thermodynamics (I. Prigogine) and experimental models of protocells (J. Szostak), the cancer cell appears to be a system that, due to energetic exhaustion, abandons complex biological regulation and reverts to a primitive, physically driven vesicular aggression characteristic of the prebiotic era.
