This article analyzes the conceptual definition of the term "open fracture." A review of relevant scientific and forensic medical literature was conducted to clarify the essence and boundaries of this term. The study aims to promote accurate interpretation and consistent application of the definition "open fracture" in forensic medical examinations, particularly in assessing the degree of harm to human health.
