Abstract

The problem of the study is about the role of Shaqra University in promoting the concept of global citizenship from the students' point of view. The study aimed to identify the role of each of: university policy, faculty members, academic courses and university activities in promoting the concept of global citizenship from the point of view of female students, and knowing the extent to which there are statistically significant differences in the answers of the sample members, towards the degree of the study themes, due to the personal variables. Descriptive survey method was used. The study was applied to a sample of (375) female students at Shaqra University. Data was collected using a questionnaire that was subjected to standards of validity and reliability. The study reached several results, most important of which are: The role of university policy, faculty members, academic courses, and university activities in promoting the concept of global citizenship, from the point of view of female students, was significant. It was found that there were statistically significant differences among the study sample with regard to the themes: university policy, faculty members, and academic courses, due to age. It was also found that there were no statistically significant differences among the study sample regarding the themes of university activities, due to age. It was found that there were significant differences among the sample in all aspects of the faculty members, depending on the specialization variable, and it was found that there were no statistically significant differences between the study sample, with regard to all aspects of the study, due to the academic level.
