Abstract

This study aims to determine the effects of therapeutic exercise on characteristics influencing pain in women with fibromyalgia. A literature search was conducted on PubMed (Medline), PEDro, Cochrane Library, CINAHL and SPORTDiscus databases in April 2025. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the PEDro Scale, and risk of bias was examined using the Cochrane ROB 2.0 tool. Eight randomized controlled trials were included. Exercise programs have positive effects on sensory and emotional aspects of pain in women with fibromyalgia. However, more rigorous research is needed to support our results and to determine the effects of exercise on cognitive symptoms.
