This article examines how hybrid work policies influence employee engagement and retention in the modern workplace, particularly within the Information Technology (IT) sector. With the growing adoption of hybrid work models after the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations are increasingly exploring how flexible work arrangements affect employee satisfaction, productivity, and long-term commitment to the organization. The study is based on research conducted in a leading IT organization that follows a structured hybrid work model where employees work both remotely and from the office. Primary data was collected using a structured questionnaire distributed to employees working under the hybrid policy, and a total of 102 responses were analyzed to understand employee perceptions. The findings indicate that hybrid work policies significantly improve work-life balance and contribute positively to employee retention by offering greater flexibility and reduced commuting time. However, the study also highlights certain challenges such as communication gaps and reduced informal interactions when employees work remotely. The research emphasizes the importance of effective managerial support, structured communication practices, and well-planned office attendance policies to ensure successful implementation of hybrid work systems. The insights from this study provide practical implications for HR professionals and organizational leaders who are designing hybrid work policies aimed at improving employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
