Older adults frequently face challenges such as social isolation, reduced interpersonal interactions, and emotional stress, all of which can adversely affect their mental and emotional well-being. This research investigates the role of social media in enhancing psychological health among older adults in Pune, encompassing both urban neighborhoods and nearby rural communities. A survey-based method was employed, with structured questionnaires distributed to individuals aged 60 years and above. Furthermore, the research identified obstacles such as limited internet availability, digital skill gaps, and reliance on family assistance for device use. Findings indicate that social media contributes to reduced feelings of loneliness, improved emotional resilience, and enhanced social inclusion.
