Key Points

  • The aim is to analyze the genome of Coelastrella sp. UAM-C/S07 for its capability to produce carotenoids and fatty acids.
  • Conducted a de novo genome assembly
  • Identified 9,319 coding sequences (CDSs)
  • Assembled the genome into 1,065 contigs.
  • Identified a total of 9,319 coding sequences (CDSs)
  • Successfully assembled the genome into 1,065 contigs
  • Demonstrated potential for high-value carotenoid and fatty acid production.

Abstract

In this study, the genome of the microalgal strain Coelastrella sp. UAM-C/S07 was analyzed to assess its potential as a strain capable of producing high-value carotenoids and fatty acids. A total of 9,319 coding sequences (CDSs) were identified, distributed across 1,065 contigs assembled using a de novo approach.
