Cross-sectional study conducted among 414 dental clinic attendees aged ≥ 18 years in Ibadan, Nigeria.
Knowledge and attitude scores were computed and categorized into low, moderate, and good knowledge, as well as good and poor attitudes.
Chi-square test, ordinal logistic regression, and Poisson regression with robust variance were used for statistical analyses.
55.3% of participants were aware of oral HPV, with only 16.4% displaying good knowledge.
Participants with tertiary education had lower odds of good knowledge of oral HPV (aOR = 0.29, 95% CI: 0.11–0.77).
Religion and place of residence significantly influenced good attitudes towards oral HPV (p = 0.025, p = 0.011 respectively).
