Abstract

Known breastfeeding recommendations, like frequent breastfeeding in relaxed circumstances, prone position, avoiding artificial nipples and supporting nasal breathing during sleep ('suction-to-palate') are confirmed by tongue anatomy and function as well as by the learning process in neuronal feedback-loops.
