Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) is a neoplastic condition arising from placental tissues. Low‐risk GTN (International federation of gynecology and obstetrics FIGO Stage I–III: Score < 7) is treated with single‐agent chemotherapy but may require additional agents; although scores 5–6 are associated with more drug resistance, the overall survival is up to 100%. High‐risk GTN (FIGO Stage II–III: Score ≥ 7 and Stage IV) is treated with multiagent chemotherapy. The role of surgery is limited, though it might be needed in the excision of resistant foci of disease. Induction chemotherapy might be required in large-volume disease to reduce mortality.
