Abstract

The appearance of neoplasms, including pigmented, is one of the most serious post-tattoo complications. According to the clinical data we have received, the risk of developing pigmented neoplasms is significantly increased in case of tattooing. As evidence we present a clinical case of multiple melanocytic nevi in the tattoo area. Objective. To demonstrate the provoking role of decorative tattoo procedure in the occurrence of multiple melanocytic nevi in the tattoo area. Material and methods. Patient K., 38 years old, has applied to the dermatovenereological department №2 of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology with a complaint about the unsatisfactory tattoo appearance, noted 6 months after completion of the procedure, and the emergence of multiple black elevations inside the tattoo. We performed a surgical removal of 3 pigmented neoplasms with subsequent histological examination, the results of which established the diagnosis: D.22.5 Melanocytic nevus of the trunk. Results. It has been retrospectively established that multiple elevations above the surface of the tattoo emerged approximately 6 months after the tattoo performance. Objective findings: condition of the patient is satisfactory, pathology on the side of other organs and systems has not been identified. Status localis: multiple elevated black papules with smooth oval-shaped surface located in the tattoo area. The resection of 3 pigmented neoplasms was performed, the following diagnosis was established according to the results of histological examination: D.22.5 Melanocytic nevus of the trunk. Conclusion. The presented clinical case is an example of multiple melanocytic nevi caused by the tattoo procedure performance.
