Thermal stress, driven by climate change and human activities, poses a significant threat to aquatic macroinvertebrate communities, leading to shifts in species distributions, disrupted ecological interactions, and declines in freshwater biodiversity. Temperature-sensitive species, such as mayflies, stoneflies, and caddisflies, serve as critical bioindicators of ecosystem health, making their conservation essential for maintaining ecological balance. This study highlights key strategies for mitigating thermal stress, including long-term monitoring of macroinvertebrate populations, habitat protection and restoration, adaptive water management practices, and climate change mitigation efforts.
