ABSTRACT This study examined how accent and gender influence social judgement, contrasting additive and intersectional approaches. French participants ( N = 465), either native or immigrant‐origin, rated male and female speakers with native or non‐native accents. Results indicated that women with immigrant‐background evaluated female speakers more positively, partly supporting the additive perspective.
