Managing the virtual pandemic classroom and beyond: analyzing the implications of resolving arising tech issues

The study analyzed the implications of resolving technological issues that hindered remote teaching over the COVID-19 pandemic era and beyond. The transition of courses from traditional to online settings during the pandemic introduced persistent issues with broader implications. As repurposed courses went online for the first time at this state university in the Southwest, faculty members and students experienced issues in the teaching and learning process. It took the assistance of designated instructional designers to help resolve such issues. The study identified and analyzed various tech and design issues and investigated how resolving them ensured that high-quality teaching and learning were maintained in e-learning settings beyond the COVID-19 pandemic era.
