Key Points

  • The aim is to understand how the normalizing process influences the microstructure of nonoriented silicon steel.
  • Theoretical calculations of critical nucleation work and size of Cu-rich precipitates.
  • Experimental analysis of texture in non-oriented silicon steel.
  • Investigation of Cu content effects on Cu-rich phases.
  • Determined the relationship between normalizing process and microstructure in silicon steel.

Abstract

This study theoretically calculates the critical nucleation work and size of Cu‐rich precipitates in non‐oriented silicon steel, combines experimental texture analysis, and investigates the effect of Cu content on Cu‐rich phases and crystallographic texture in non‐oriented silicon steel.
