Design of a Sanitary Dosing Machine for Solid Particles with a Diameter Smaller than 300 Microns

Abstract The main objective is to design a sanitary dosing machine that facilitates the precise and sanitary dosing of solid particles with a diameter of less than 300 μm for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food industry, where it is necessary to maintain high sanitary conditions to preserve the quality of the product offered to the consumer and ensure accuracy in the weight of the product offered in the packaging. For the creation of parts and pieces, as well as the analysis and simulation of the correct functioning of the machine, Autodesk Inventor 2024 software was used, and for the development and simulation of the electrical control and power system, CADe-SIMU software was utilized. Both design and simulation tools allowed for reduced times and efficient design. The aim is to meet the demand of companies that package powdered products and need exact and consistent dosing over time, while maintaining a high sanitary standard to comply with the regulations required by public health control agencies. The proposed dosing process ensures zero direct transfer of microorganisms, and the technology applied in the electromechanical design ensures precise and semi-automatic dosing. The results obtained confirm that the developed design is suitable for sanitary packaging and ensures exact and sustainable dosing within permissible tolerance standards for dosing solid particles with a diameter of less than 300 μm. Due to the quality of the materials used and the characteristics of the finishes of the parts in contact with the product, the process maintains its safety and consequently guarantees no contamination of the product during packaging.
