Among the varied living beings on Earth, humans are the most gifted. From old times to the present day, we have developed in every field. Within this evolution, food remained a fundamental necessity for all living beings and acquired a central position in Indian Philosophy, affecting physical mental and spiritual growth. Among these, the Bhagavad Gita holds a unique and leading position. It provides a detailed framework regarding our eating habits; in fact, The Bhagavad Gita presents a complete philosophy of nutrition. This paper aims to explore the role of food and eating habits as described in the Bhagavad Gita and to analyse their intimation for holistic health from a Yogic perspective. This research paper explores the concept of 'Eating behaviour' as prescribed in the Bhagavad Gita, analysing the triguna theory, how Sattvic, Rajasic, and Tamasic diets impact our overall health and shapes the human consciousness. this study presents a holistic perspective of yogic diet and eating habits on how the Bhagavad Gita incorporating physiological, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions.
