Alabama’s fiscal year 2025 budget represents one of the largest investments in education in state history, reflecting strong revenue growth and commitments to workforce development, teacher recruitment, and school safety. The Education Trust Fund reached a record funding level, supporting initiatives such as teacher pay raises, expanded literacy and numeracy programs, and support for higher education institutions. While K–12 remains the dominant share, universities and community colleges benefit from targeted workforce development appropriations.
