This paper describes new finds of remains of a small Bison of the subgenus Eobison, which is part of the Early Pleistocene fauna of Taurida Cave in Crimea, biochronologically dated as 1.8–1.5 Ma. The horn core, incomplete upper and lower jaws of juvenile and adult individuals, teeth and limb bones are assigned to a new species Bison (Eobison) constantini. The paper also discusses some important aspects of the history of the subgenus Eobison, its distribution and evolution.
