Abstract Number: Esoc2026a1995 Features of Non-Motor Disorders in Vascular Parkinsonism

Abstract Background and aims Vascular parkinsonism is characterized by a symmetrical onset of clinical symptoms, and the lack of effect of levodopa drugs is of great importance. Тo study and compare the features of the occurrence of non-motor disorders not related to movement in PD and VP. Methods 51 patients with various clinical forms and stages of PD and 33 patients with VP were examined. The average duration was 6.8±3.1 years. Clinical-neurological and neuropsychological examinations were performed. Results In 38 out of 51 patients with PD(74.6%), the onset of the main symptoms of the disease, tremor, hypokinesia and rigidity, was observed several years before the onset of the disease. In VP, only 7 out of 24 patients(29.1%) had olfactory impairment. Sleep disorders in the form of insomnia, hypersomnia and parasomnia were also observed in relatively more patients with PD(80.4%), while in VP, only relative insomnia was observed, which was observed in 25.0% of patients. Affective disorders in the form of depression and anxiety were found in 84.3%, compared to 37.5% in VP. Sensory disorders in the form of pain were found in 76.5% with PD, compared to 37.5% in VP. Various forms of vegetative disorders were observed relatively more often in patients with PD(82.3%). Conclusions Nonmotor disorders are not only characteristic of PD, but are also observed in parkinsonism syndrome of vascular genesis, although relatively less often, and are manifested not from a pathogenetic point of view, but as secondary factors as a result of impaired blood supply to the brain.
