Importance: Consistent implementation of sensory-based occupational therapy strategies and exercises is essential for supporting children’s participation and progress towards functional goals. Caregivers play a critical role in carrying over and integrating these strategies into their child’s daily routines; however, caregiver-facing resources to support effective home implementation remain limited. Objective: To develop and evaluate the feasibility, usability, and perceived impact of a caregiver-facing sensory digital library designed to support caregivers with home implementation of occupational therapy strategies for children with sensory processing challenges. Design: Applied pre-post quantitative study Participants: Seven caregivers of children receiving pediatric occupational therapy services at an outpatient sensory integration clinic participated in the study. Outcomes and Measures: Caregiver confidence in understanding and implementing sensory strategies in the home environment was measured using pre- and post-interventions surveys. The post intervention survey also assessed perceived usability and feasibility of the digital library using 5-point Likert scale items. Results: Caregivers reported high perceived usability of the sensory digital library, including ease of navigation (M=4.86) and clarity of content (M=5.00). Caregiver confidence in carrying over occupational therapy sensory strategies into the home environment increased from pre- to post-access (mean change = +0.72). Conclusions and Relevance: Findings suggest that a caregiver-facing sensory digital library may be a feasible and usable resource that may support home carryover of occupational therapy strategies and promote participation across settings. Digital caregiver resources paired with a coaching model represent a promising approach to extending occupational therapy services beyond the clinical environment.
