Abstract

In today’s competitive and dynamic manufacturing environment, organizations are increasingly focusing on improving employee performance to achieve higher productivity and efficiency. Learning and Development (L&D) practices have emerged as essential tools for enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and competencies. This study aims to analyze the impact of learning and development practices on employee performance in Classic Industries and Export Limited, Oragadam. The research primarily focuses on key aspects such as training effectiveness and skill development opportunities and examines how these factors influence employee performance and organizational outcomes. The study is based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected from employees through a structured questionnaire to understand their perceptions regarding training programs, skill development initiatives, and performance improvement. Secondary data was gathered from various sources such as books, journals, and research articles to support the theoretical framework of the study. The data collected was analyzed using statistical tools such as percentage analysis, correlation, and regression to identify the relationship and impact between learning and development practices and employee performance. The findings of the study reveal that learning and development practices have a significant and positive influence on employee performance. Employees who undergo effective training programs and are provided with opportunities for skill development tend to perform better in their roles, showing improved productivity, efficiency, and job satisfaction. The study also indicates that training effectiveness plays a more prominent role in enhancing employee performance, while skill development opportunities further support employees in improving their competencies and adapting to changing job requirements. Overall, the study concludes that continuous investment in learning and development initiatives is essential for improving employee performance and achieving organizational success.
