Boriskina, and co-workers demonstrate a record-fast thermal switch based on an amorphous olefin block co-polymer fiber. They used Raman spectroscopy to experimentally probe stretching-induced vibrational delocalization and demonstrated that alignment alone can govern the dominant carrier in amorphous polymers.
