The Pencil Point Approach (PPA): A Holistic Early Intervention Framework for Neurodevelopmental Conditions with Integrated Training Model (DISR–NDC Program)

The Pencil Point Approach (PPA) is a structured, activity-based early intervention framework developed for children with neurodevelopmental conditions. The framework focuses on functional skill development through structured engagement, repetition, real-world integration, and phase-based progression. The model emphasises improvements in attention, communication, behavioural regulation, adaptive functioning, classroom readiness, and functional independence through consistent participation in structured activities and routines. The framework integrates intervention planning, caregiver involvement, behaviour monitoring, Individualised Education Planning (IEP), outcome documentation, and competency-based implementation strategies. This work also presents the DISR–NDC Program (Diploma in Early Intervention and School Readiness Program for Neurodevelopmental Conditions), a structured training model designed to support practical skill development and supervised implementation of the PPA framework. The document includes intervention tools, structured templates, anonymised case documentation, caregiver training models, project work frameworks, and functional outcome-based implementation strategies intended for educational, clinical, and training purposes. This publication represents an original conceptual and practical framework developed through long-term clinical experience, structured intervention practice, and functional outcome observation across neurodevelopmental populations.
