Abstract

This rejoinder responds to Ian Stewart's reply to my research note in this issue of Scottish Affairs. I clarify that the brunt of my criticisms are aimed at the University of Edinburgh Race Review as a whole, not Dr Stewart in particular. Further, the problem of the misrepresentation of David Hume's views on race and slavery still stands, despite Dr Stewart's disagreement with me.
