Abstract

This article examines the psychological foundations of compassion education. Compassion is defined as a person's ability to show kindness, generosity and benevolence towards others, and its development mechanisms are analyzed from a psychological perspective. The article studies the role of empathy, moral development, prosocial behavior and the social environment in the formation of compassion. The importance of family upbringing, educational institutions and national-cultural traditions in the formation of this quality is also described.
