Key Points

  • This research aims to define and explore fixed-point theorems within digital rectangular metric spaces defined by $eta$ adjacency.
  • Defined a rectangular metric on digital images.
  • Examined convergency, Cauchy sequences, and $eta$ continuity within this framework.
  • Proved Kannan-type fixed-point theorems using the properties of digital images.
  • Established new Kannan-type fixed-point theorems.
  • Demonstrated the role of $eta$ adjacency in proving fixed-point results.
  • Highlighted the significance of Cauchy sequences in this context.

Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we focus on digital images with adjacency relation. We define rectangular metric on digital images. By using the differences related to convergency, Cauchy sequence, and continuity in digital images and by using rectangular property we obtain and prove Kannan-type fixed-point theorems.
