Abstract

This study analyzes the innovation capabilities (IC) of companies in the digital content sector in the Department of Atlántico, Colombia. A quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional design was applied. Data were collected from a final sample of 207 companies using a structured questionnaire composed of 37 items, distributed across four dimensions: human talent management, organizational management, knowledge management, and resource management. The results indicate that motivation of human talent, innovative leadership, and a favorable organizational culture are key factors in the development of ICs. Significant differences in innovation strategies were also identified according to company size and availability of resources. Strengthening human resource policies oriented toward innovation, enhancing internal and external collaboration, and improving technological infrastructure are recommended to boost innovation capabilities in the sector.
