The term job embeddedness is the state of mind influencing employees’ continuity and performance in their job. The aim of this study was to reveal the job embeddedness levels of English teachers working at the Ministry of National Education in Türkiye with respect to their gender, age, and job experience. The mixed-methods research design was employed. The job embeddedness scale (JES) and the semi-structured interview were used as the data collection instruments. The findings revealed that English teachers’ job embeddedness levels were low. Female teachers were more connected to their jobs compared to male teachers. English teachers’ job embeddedness levels decreased with age and experience. In this respect, it is suggested that the necessary steps should be taken to enhance teachers’ job embeddedness levels for the sake of the peaceful future of the education of the country.
