Ideas on Developing Mental Arithmetic in Primary Education

This article discusses the role and importance of mental arithmetic methodology in primary education. The study analyzes the impact of mental arithmetic on improving students’ mathematical literacy, developing logical thinking, and strengthening attention and memory. It also examines the use of the abacus in forming fast calculation skills and increasing lesson effectiveness through modern pedagogical technologies. The article substantiates the positive influence of mental arithmetic methodology on the intellectual development of primary school students.
