This paper introduces GOOSVC1, a version control system for content creation using generative AI. As generative AI models become integral to creative workflows, managing iterative changes, branching, and merging of content is challenging. Current version control systems are not designed for these workflows, which involve multiple AI assistants exchanging text, images, or other artifacts. In this paper, we identify the core requirements for such a system and show how GOOSVC meets them. Our system provides full traceability and versioning of both artifacts and conversation states, allowing seamless integration of multiple AI assistants into creative workflows.
