Abstract Epulis granulomatosa (EG) is a lesion that emanates from an extraction socket and could be confused with lesions showing similar clinical and histopathological appearances, such as foreign body or pyogenic granuloma. These are associated with increased fear among parents due to unusual occurrences that could be misunderstood as tumors following the extraction of teeth. The most common treatment is surgical excision with good prior counseling about the disease process. The present article reports an EG which was biopsied using electrosurgery as a treatment modality due to the child’s fear related to traditional surgical scalpels and bleeding. To the best of our knowledge, only two cases are reported in the existing literature regarding the management of EG in children, and our case is the first case to use electrosurgery as a treatment modality and has shown a good postoperative prognosis with no recurrence.
