Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of sunlight and wind direction in the design process of single-storey residential buildings, based on the climatic conditions of Samarkand. The study highlights issues of natural lighting, ventilation, energy efficiency, and improvement of the microclimate through proper building orientation. In addition, practical recommendations were developed considering the climatic characteristics of the Samarkand region.
