Blockchain technology is widely associated with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin; however, its applications extend far beyond digital finance. This study explores public perception of blockchain technology outside the context of cryptocurrency and examines factors influencing awareness, trust, and adoption intentions. Using concepts from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research analyzes how individuals perceive blockchain in areas such as healthcare, supply chain management, education, and digital identity systems. The study highlights both opportunities and challenges related to decentralization, transparency, security, and usability. Findings suggest that although public awareness of non-financial blockchain applications is growing, misconceptions and limited technical understanding continue to affect adoption. The research contributes to broader discussions on emerging technologies and digital transformation by identifying key elements shaping societal acceptance of blockchain technology beyond cryptocurrency.
