The home school partnership plays a very important role in shaping child’s learning. Pedagogical leadership goes beyond supervising teaching or managing the curriculum. It involves creating a learning environment where parents are seen as active partners in the educational process. This study looks at how the head of a secondary school in Goa has worked to strengthen connections with parents as part of everyday leadership. Drawing on responses from 427 parents, along with observations of school practices, the study explores both the extent and the nature of parental engagement. The findings suggest that parents are actively involved in supporting their children, particularly at home, but their participation within school processes remains more limited. At the same time, consistent efforts by the school through meetings, workshops, and open communication have helped build trust over time. The study points to the importance of leadership in gradually shifting parental roles from supportive to more collaborative.
