Abstract

The purpose of this policy brief is to conduct an historical analysis of policy developments in South Africa, from the Reconstruction and Development Programme of the 1990s to the current National Development Plan and its Medium-Term Strategic Framework to assess their sensitivity to questions of gender and gender equality and inequality.
