Abstract

In this chapter, corruption is unravelled to underscore its conceptual meaning and ramifications. The chapter argues at length that corruption is an ethical problem, and should be resolved by ethical solutions apart from short circuited legalistic intentions that are reactive and not proactive. Issues of governance, leadership ethics and professionalism are critical to question the integrity of the African governments above the bar and be equal to the task of aggressively responding to public service delivery challenges effectually.
